FAT BEAR LODGE

We are an all-inclusive lodge, priced at $1800 a day per person. Included are our bucket-list Brooks Falls Tour, other incredible excursions, luxury lodging, shuttle services, and gourmet meals. Our bear lodge in Alaska is located in the heart of Katmai National Park, home to one of the largest and healthiest populations of brown bears in the world.

  • People come for the Fat Bears but that is not all we have to offer. We offer everything from fishing for trophy rainbows, to wildlife photography safaris, to fly-outs to remote locations.

  • Our lodging accommodations are something that sets us apart. You truly are staying in deluxe lodging in the middle of the Alaskan wilderness.

  • Upon arrival your transportation needs are taken care of. Our shuttle driver will pick you and your party up at King Salmon airport and bring you directly to the lodge. From there our shuttle service will take care of anywhere you need to go while at the lodge.

  • Menus include fresh Alaskan seafood, top quality steak, chicken and pork. We can even prepare your catch of the day especially for you. Our chef is passionate about providing an unparalleled menu for our guests.

BROOKS FALLS

The famed Fat Bears are just a short trip upriver from the Lodge. Brooks is ​famous for seeing bears bulking up for ​winter by feeding on salmon making ​their way upstream. You can visit Brooks Falls in a day from ​Anchorage via our Katmai Water Taxi ​, which will pick up/drop off guests from the King ​Salmon airport and take them to Brooks ​($450 per person). If you're looking to stay ​longer, book into our lodge ($1800 per person per day) for a multi-day bear ​viewing experience. The Katmai Water Taxi is one of ​several excursions included in your Fat Bear ​Lodge stay. Staying at our Alaska fishing lodge in King Salmon, Alaska, is the perfect way to experience all that Katmai National Park has to offer. We specialize in bear viewing, fishing, and wildlife photography opportunities.

Our first-class accommodations ensure your unparalleled experience continues when you get back from your day of Alaskan adventure. Our main lodge and guest accommodations are situated on 20 forested acres along the beautiful Naknek River. Our cabins feature a ensuite bath, fireplace, private bath, private deck overlooking Alaskan tundra, TV, WIFI , Keurig, and a small fridge stocked with cold drinks for your enjoyment. Our Yurts are the ultimate glamping experience featuring 2 queen beds, TV, fireplace, Keurig, sitting area, and private bathrooms located a few steps away from the yurt. SHUTTLE SERVICE

Our Shuttle Service runs to/from King Salmon Airport, ensuring your transportation needs are taken care of the minute you step off the plane from Anchorage.  Lodging in King Salmon and Katmai National Park will be taken care of, so you can focus on your Alaskan adventure. Our shuttle runs daily and is complimentary for our guests.

FOOD + DRINKS

  • A bountiful and hearty buffet of fruit, breakfast meats, house-baked goods, made to order eggs, daily specialty items, fruit juice, cocoa, tea, and gourmet coffee are served to get you started for a fun day of activities.

  • While out on your days adventures, you will enjoy a picnic lunch consisting of a delicious sandwich made to order, fresh veggies with dip, picnic salads, and daily soup to warm you on the cooler days.

    Chips and all the snacks, treats, gourmet cookies, and beverages you could want will also be provided. We are more than happy to customize your lunch to accommodate your wishes.

  • Evenings are a time to wind down your day, exchange adventure stories about the days activities with other guests from around the world, and discuss what you would like to do for your next days expedition while enjoying delicious appetizers.  Dinner is a gourmet meal prepared by Chef Shane, served plated each evening and paired with a beer, wine or other beverage of your choice. Complete your meal with a decadent, made-from-scratch dessert.

    After dinner feel free to relax, take advantage of our different lodge activities, sit on the dock and enjoy the sunset, or relax around the campfire listening to live music, weather permitting.
